A few years ago, several local wine producers, with the support of the entire village, started up a quality wine marketing campaign: wein.kaltern. The first step was to create an internationally registered brand name (logo), which would serve to sum up the whole initiative in one concise expression: in short, it’s all about “wine” and “kaltern”.
This may be one of the most extensive wine projects ever, and the latest strategy here is the placement of informative plaques on historical buildings in the village. Kaltern’s cultural commission, the Association for Culture and Native Monuments, and Art Historian, Dr. Leo Andergassen have given their praise for the valuable work which has been done.
The brochure "Monuments of historical importance in Kaltern" serves as handy, informative source and point of reference. It summarizes the 61 historical buildings and offers a general overview of the village’s entire territorial layout. All of wein.kaltern’s partners have also been included and specifically marked off so that they are easy to find.
